Berlin, 23 September 2024 – JUNA, the pioneering joint venture between Scania and sennder, continues #electrifyingroadfreight. Following the inception in 2023, JUNA sees an increased demand for its services and is proud to announce the expansion of its operations with the addition of 30 new heavy-duty electric trucks from Scania. The trucks are set to join the fleet in the first half of 2025.

This record order comes after JUNA’s launch in the German market, where it established itself as the one to watch within sustainable logistics. Since the launch JUNA has grown from deploying early pilot vehicles to finding a product market fit and lately operating trucks for some of the most well known and loved brands in Europe.

With these new trucks, JUNA will manage over 50 state-of-the-art electric vehicles across four major European markets, which is one of the biggest fleets of heavy-duty electric trucks in Europe.

Cutting-Edge Electric Solutions for Regional Transport

The new fleet consists of Scania’s latest heavy-duty electric trucks, designed specifically to meet the demands of regional transport in Europe. These trucks are capable of towing up to 46 tons and boast an impressive range of up to 500 kilometers on a single charge. The fleet will focus on the bread-and-butter of European road freight —general cargo— ensuring reliable, efficient, and sustainable transport solutions for some of Europe’s biggest shippers.
